Toilet flush tank not filling or filling very slowly
A flush tank may fill slowly because of a stuck inlet valve, blocked filter, weak supply, float issue or closed angle valve.
Safety note

This is usually repairable without replacing the full toilet. The trick is finding whether the problem is supply-side or inside the flush tank.
What you can check safely
- Check if the angle valve near the toilet is open.
- See if other taps in the bathroom have normal flow.
- Listen for hissing water inside the tank.
- Lift the tank lid carefully and check if the float is stuck.
- Avoid forcing plastic parts if they feel brittle.
What not to do
- Do not bend the float arm hard.
- Do not keep the tank lid where it can fall and crack.
- Do not ignore continuous overflow into the bowl.
