Wall paint peeling after monsoon
Peeling paint after rain usually means damp, poor surface prep, salt deposits or waterproofing failure.
Safety note

A fresh coat of paint will not survive if moisture is still inside the wall. Fix the cause first, then repaint.
What you can check safely
- Check if the wall is cold, damp or powdery.
- Look for cracks outside the wall or terrace above.
- Scrape only loose flakes, not deep plaster.
- Keep the area ventilated.
- Wait for the wall to dry before final painting.
What not to do
- Do not apply putty over wet walls.
- Do not paint over salt marks without treatment.
- Do not choose exterior paint for interior damp without advice.
